| Abstract | In this study, a bi-level planning approach is proposed which co-optimizes the allocation of renewable distributed generation (RDG) and energy storage (ES) in a context of active distribution networks. The model takes the maximum expectation of net benefit of RDG as the upper-level objective, and the maximization of total renewable energy contribution as the lower-level objective. The impact of potential network contingencies on RDG efficacy is especially taken into account. The problem is solved by using a hybrid algorithm, which combines harmony search and probabilistic optimal power flow. The case studies have been carried out on a 33-bus distribution network, and the results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
