| Abstract | This work reports the presence of Leaf Mould on tomato (causal agent: Fulvia fulva (Cooke) Ciferri) in 45 ha of greenhouse in Almeria. The disease affected mainly vine tomato cultivars and sporadically cherry types. Identification of pathogen was achieved by studying morphology of conidiophores and conidia, and dimensioning of conidia, from 10 isolates of leaves and 6 isolates from malt-extract agar. Size of conidia doesnt seem to depend on the growth substrate. However, growth on media (malt, PDA and V8) is very slow and seems to end 7 days after plating. Pathogenicity on tomato cv. San Pedro has been proved. All the inoculated plants showed the symptoms on 75% of leaves per plant. |
