| Abstract | BrightView XCT scanner The BrightView XCT is a hybrid medical imaging system integrating a fully-featured variable angle nuclear medicine gamma camera with a flat-panel cone-beam CT (CBCT) component used for localization and attenuation correction of the SPECT data.[1] A novel aspect of this system is its unique design; the flat-panel CBCT component is mounted on the same rotatable gantry as the SPECT component. This setup reduces room size requirements and system weight compared to using a separate CT gantry. Furthermore, it enables co-planar SPECT and CBCT imaging and high-resolution isotropic CT reconstruction. |
