| Abstract | We present the methodological development for the spectrometric determination in the visible, range of Ca in human blood serum by FIA. The method is based on the formation of a complex Ca-Murexida in basic medium (pH 12). We used a semi-automatic system with an injection volume of 16.5 μL, reactor length of 1 m, the complex was measured at 491 nm, can process 44 samples per hour, with a linear range of 2-12 mg·L. We obtained a LD and LC of 0.076 mg·L and 0.25 mg·L, respectively, and a precision (RSD) of 1.81%. Accuracy is assessed by comparing the concentrations of Ca using the method developed by others based on spectrometric techniques. We observed no statistically significant differences (p<0.05), obtaining valScientific Journal from the Experimental Faculty of Sciences, at the Universidad del Zulia Volume 20 (Numero Especial), 2012 CIENCIA 20 (Numero Especial), 119 127, 2012 Maracaibo, Venezuela * Autor para la correspondencia: jchirinos@fec.luz.edu.ve; blansenirene@gmail.com ues of Ca (mg·dL ± SD) in human blood serum: 93.9 ± 15.2 (FIA-UV-Vis), 96.5 ± 8.3 (ICP-AES) and 89.5 ± 13.7 (Konelab Spectrophotometer). Finally, we performed an ANOVA for comparing means between these techniques, which found that Fc |
