| Abstract | Farming is one of the core sectors in Brazil’s economy and it is an extremely competitive market, where managing costs is a big challenge that is becoming a necessity, due to low and unstable profit margins. This article aims to develop a cost managing system adapted to this sectors culture, defining it with the necessities of a specific farming enterprise, but with the possibility of it being implemented by other rural entrepreneurs. To do so, it was proposed and then applied a cost systematic for this farming enterprise, having as result the identification of the total cost for its main products, as well as indicators to serve as basis for their decision making. |
