| Abstract | Vercors was one of the most representative writers of the French intellectual resistance against the Nazi occupation. As a result of his famous novel 'Le silence de la mer' and the role that he played as director of Editions de Minuit, he became a major public figure in French society. However, once France was freed, Vercors fell into oblivion. For this reason, our principal aim is the study of the critical reception of his work, in order to know why he was removed from the French literary panorama. In addition, we will try to analyse the most important aspects of his works with the main purpose of collaborating on its rediscovery. |
