Abstract	The purpose of this paper is to highlight the importance of the development of electronic banking in Spain and its impact on the environment of competition and development of the Spanish financial system. It is worth highlighting the great weight that the Internet has exercised over the banking sector, as it is one of the biggest transformations that has occurred as a result of the appearance of this new distribution channel. Today, financial institutions have invested a great variety of resources, both technological and economic, in the use of new information and communication technologies (TIC), with the intention of satisfying the new banking users that each they have more information and higher levels of demand. In this paper we will focus on the application of the new digital TICs to the banking distribution channels, this is the socalled electronic or online digital banking. We will talk about the evolution of channel strategies in the Spanish banking sector and the characteristics that define the Internet banking service. We will analyze the image that financial institutions transmit on the network and the increase of their presence in mobile banking and social networks; We will also investigate the importance of big data and the means of payment. All this without forgetting the new players that have appeared in the sector of finance, the fintech, which have forced traditional entities to change their way of seeing the sector. To illustrate the theoretical analysis, we will make a comparative study between the online channels of traditional banking, online banking and fintech in Spain, analyzing the strategies carried out by an entity from each of the three categories from the point of view of your web pages and mobile app. With the help of a web comparator, the characteristics of each one will be analyzed and the products and functionalities offered by the three entities and the security of their web pages will be compared.
