| Abstract | A atrazina (2-cloro-4-etilamino-6-isopropilamino-striazina), um herbicida da familia das s-triazinas mais utilizados em todo o mundo, tem sido detectado em aguas superficiais e subterrâneas em concentracoes preocupantes. Esse composto apresenta baixo potencial de bioacumulacao e moderada adsorcao e mobilidade em solo. Uma das maneiras de se determinar a atrazina e por Cromatografia Gasosa acoplada a Espectrometria de Massa (GC-MS), utilizando, no preparo da amostra, a extracao em fase solida (SPE), a qual elimina interferentes e pre-concentra a amostra em um unico passo. Esta pesquisa objetivou desenvolver uma metodologia para analise de atrazina em agua, utilizando Extracao em Fase Solida em Cromatografia Gasosa acoplada a Expectometria de Massas. A recuperacao foi estudada em dois niveis de concentracao (0,2 e 2,0 mg L -1 ) comparando o SIM e MS/MS. Para a quantificacao, o metodo SIM apresentou melhores resultados de recuperacao (105% e 98%) e coeficiente de variacao (1,6%) a uma concentracao de 2,0 mg L -1 . O limite de deteccao do modo de SIM foi de 0,20 ng L -1 e a metodologia foi testada em agua superficial e agua de lixiviacao de colunas indeformadas de tres cabeceiras. Apenas duas amostras de agua lixiviada apresentaram concentracoes de atrazina acima do permitido pela legislacao (2,0 mg L -1 ). Abstract Atrazine (2-chloro-4-ethylamino-6-isopropylamino-striazina), a herbicine from the family of s-triazine, widely used all over the world, has been detected in ground and surface waters in worrying levels of concentration. This compound has a low potential for bioaccumulation, moderate adsorption and mobility in soil. One way is to determine atrazine is by Gas Chromatography coupled to Mass Spectrometry (CG-MS), using for the sample preparation the extraction in solid phase (SPE), which eliminates interferences and pre-concentrates the sample into a single step. This research aimed to develop a methodology for analysis of atrazine in water using Solid Phase Extraction in Gas Chromatography coupled with the Mass Spectrometry. The recovery was studied at two concentration levels (0.2 and 2.0 mg L -1 ), comparing the SIM and MS / MS. For quantification, the SIM method showed a better recovery (98% and 105%) and coefficient of variation (1.6%) at a concentration of 2.0 mg L -1 . The detection limit of the SIM mode was 0.20 ng L -1 and the method was tested in surface water and leachate water of undisturbed soil columns of three headwaters. Only two samples of leachate water had concentrations of atrazine above those permitted by law (2.0 mg L -1 ). |
