| Abstract | Despite the advances in Risk Management and the growing interest in this subject, only a minority of the companies actively apply risk management approaches which demonstrate that, in the software industry, the methods used have not yet reached their full potential. This is primarily due to a series of obstacles, such as the difficulty or impossibility of a successful measurement of risks and the absence of knowledge about alternatives. Contributing to this is the fact that risk management is a relatively new discipline; the problem to understand risk management is caused by phenomenon's abstraction. In some cases, risk management is not applied because of the high cost of its execution due to the lack of agility in the existing models, methods, techniques and procedures. In order to make the activity of quantifying risks viable in the context of agile software development projects, this work defines a proposal to apply quantitative risk analysis from the development team manager’s point of view, using decision tree concepts for risk elicitation and quantitative study. To obtain the expected result of this dissertation field researches were conducted in an Information Technology’s company, located in Recife’s Informatic Pole, which captured data such as projects’ characterization attributes and impediments, resulting in the formation of an agile software development project’s historical data base.
