Abstract	The study looks in depth at the consequences of the Chaco war between Bolivia and Paraguay (1923-35) and especially the consequences for the indigenous peoples, who in recent years have started to demand official recognition of their territorial rights based on a reassessment of the participation of the indigenous peoples of the Chaco in the war, and the use of natural resources and indigenous communities by the armies involved. The study uses the photographic record of the conflict as tool.
