| Abstract | Sir Alexander MORISON was born in Edinburgh on the ist May 1779. He attended the High School and subsequent y went to the University of his native town at the eai y afce of thirteen. At the age of fifteen he was apprenticed for ve years to Alexander and George Wood, surgeons in Edinburg the former well known as " Lang Sandy Wood. The premium paid was ?60. In his twentieth year he graduated M.D., u before he graduated and while still in his nineteenth year e married his cousin, a lady of means, and this influence future career. |
