Abstract	Title: Ruptured of hepatic subcapsular hematoma in premature infant Subcapsular liver hematoma is a rare condition in newborns whose prognosis is poor if breaks. In most cases has been diagnosed after death at autopsy of the fetuses and newborns. Predisposing factors have been associated such as history of birth trauma, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, prematurity, coagulopathy or laparotomy among others. We report a case of a premature infant with hemoperitoneum secondary to rupture of a subcapsular hepatic hematoma with a favorable outcome after rapid diagnosis and therapeutic procedures.
