Abstract	From the analysis of the dynamics of interaction between key social actors involved in the management of natural protected areas and the protection of watershed services in the metropolitan zone of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, this article analyzes the actions performed to achieve conservation goals. Network analysis is used to understand the structure and density of social relationships and their influence on the definition of the current environmental governance in the region, highlighting the existence of strategic alliances in conservation and at the same time miscommunication in other sectors.
