| Abstract | This research presents the results obtained in an investigation with a qualitative methodology which is guided in Lüdke and André (1986), Flick (2004), Lankshear and Knobel (2008), Gamboa (2000), among others. The study aimed to understand the pedagogical practice of teachers in the Araucária City, State of Paraná after the implementation of the Project UCAA (One Computer per Student in Araucária) schools network, aiming to clarify how teachers take ownership and integrate laptop educational use classes, that make use of it, how, when and for that use. We sought to further identify factors that contribute to and/or interfere with the process of appropriation and pedagogical integration of the laptop in the classroom. The survey was conducted in the first fifteen schools network awarded the UCAA and technique of data collection was done through a questionnaire to teachers from 1st to 5th grade level of the se units and, following, seeking closer ties with the universe of research, we chose to carry out semi-structured interviews with four teachers. From the theoretical point of view, the issues examined were driven from the perspective of authors such as Brito and Purificação (2006, 2011), Forquin (1993), Kenski (2003, 2007), Moran (2000, 2007), Morin (1990, 2000 , 2005), Prado and Valente (2003), Tajra (2001), Brave (1995, 1998, 1999, 2001) and others who have dedicated themselves to the question of the use of Information and Communication Technologies (TIC in portuguese) in schools and contextualize the use of such resources with the culture and the process of teacher training. From the data analysis it was possible to identify five categories understood as fundamental to appropriate technical and pedagogical teachers: experience with the use of technology, continuing education, technical support, pedagogical support and infrastructure issues. The results indicated that teachers of Araucária City recognize that the computer enables a new way to learn, however are still under ownership of the potential that the laptop in the classroom can provide and practices focus on using technology to improve existing practices and, in some cases, to promote specific changes. No changes were identified in the deep structure of the school and, from that, points up the need for an institutional policy that incorporates theoretical and methodological educational laptop use to teaching practice. |
