| Abstract | In this paper we present a study that intended to establish meaningful relations between maternal representations, in particular those linked to the passage between breast-feeding and spoon-feeding, attachment representations (Main et al. 1985) and Reflective Functioning (Fonagy et al 1993) in 27 Argentinean mothers. Results show two representational configurations, one that associates mother’s secure-autono mous working model of attachment to the recognition of a progressive distance in the relationship with the baby throughout the second semester and another one that links dismissing working model of attachment to a lack of recognition of such a distance. |
