| Abstract | ARUM AMELIA WAHARATRI. Analysis of The Effect of Bank Capital Structure on Profitability of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. Supervised by SRI HARTOYO and RANTI WILIASIH. Bank performance is strongly influenced by its capital structure. It is because in the capital of an enterprise or business, debt can be the main source of growth or conversely increase the risk of bankruptcy/financial distress. This study aims to look at the influence of the capital structure of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia and their effect on profitability. The data used in this study are empirical data on 5 banks during 2008-2017. Bank performance is measured by profitability ratios, namely the ratio of return on assets (ROA) and return on equity ratio (ROE). The capital structure variable used is the Equity to Asset Ratio (EAR). This study also use dependent variables such as Company Size, Real SBIS Rate, and Economic Growth. In general, the capital structure has a significant negative effect on ROA/ROE. Economic growth as one of the macroeconomic variables has a significant and positive effect on ROA and ROE. |
