| Abstract | The phytochrome photoreceptors regulate all major transitions during the life cycle of plants. The role of each member of the phytochrome family in Arabidopsis is starting to be understood, and a molecular description of phytochrome-regulated flowering time and shade avoidance is emerging. Recent publications have challenged some areas of well-accepted models concerning phytochrome signalling. Moreover, the importance of proteolysis during phytochrome signalling is becoming very apparent. |
