| Abstract | Resumo: Levantar os tipos mais comuns de punicao fisica utilizados pelos pais para educar os filhos, determinando quais sao aceitos socialmente e quais sao considerados violencia na visao de pais e dos adolescentes, sao os principais objetivos deste artigo. Utilizando a metodologia qualitativa, chegou-se aos seguintes resultados: Para os pais, a denuncia e ambigua, podendo proteger a crianca ou mesmo piorar sua situacao. Para os adolescentes, a violencia fisica e aceita como punicao para atos considerados inadequados, embora tenham sido relatados. A violencia fisica domestica extrapola a dimensao familiar e o contexto local. Nele se entrelacam padroes culturais de solucoes de conflitos, modelos educativos possiveis num contexto de exclusao e marginalidade como tambem a ausencia de politicas sociais especificas para esta populacao. Palavras chave : violencia fisica, pais, adolescentes. Abstract: The parent’s vision and adolescent’s vision of Santos's city periphery, on domestic violence. To lift the commonest types of physical punishment used by the parents to educate the children, determining what they are accepted socially and which are considered a violence in the vision of parents and adolescents, those are the main objectives of this article. When the qualitative methodology is used, it approached to the next results: For the parents, the denunciation is ambiguous, being able to protect the child or even to make the situation worse. For the adolescents, the physical violence is accepted like punishment for unsuitable respected acts, though they have been reported. The within the family physical violence oversteps the familiar dimension and the local context. In him there are intertwined cultural standards of solutions of conflicts, possible educative models in a context of exclusion and delinquency as also the absence of social policies special for this population.
