| Abstract | The average and low basin of the Tunjuelo River has been marked by the diversity of anthropic activities that have determined the current state of pollution and the associated problems experienced by the inhabitants of the sector. For this purpose, a descriptive bibliographical review was carried out to identify the most significant socio-ecological changes in the Tunjuelo river, gathering information from different sources in 10-year periods from 1950 to 1990, as well as Carried out a multitemporal analysis between 1998 and 2014 in order to determine the main demographic changes of the basin. This research is carried out taking into account that at present the solution to the environmental problems is not contemplated from the understanding of the complex interaction man - nature; Interaction, which is vital for understanding the role of society within the ecosystem coupled with proper planning and decision making. Due to the foregoing, it was evident that the development of the Tunjuelo river basin was marked by inadequate planning, absence of the State and social marginality, making this a fundamental part of the socio - ecological conflicts of the sector. |
