| Abstract | Every dispute occuring in the society of Aceh Besar regency is solved through Aceh tradition institution, even though the court is as a formal forum to solve the dispute in Indonesia. Hence, it is necessary to know the effectiveness of the decision of Aceh tradition institution in solving the dispute. This research is descriptive and empirical sociological. This research was conducted at Aceh Besar, especially in Gampong Bakoy, Gampong Manyang, Gampong Tutong. Data collection was obtained through field research and library research. Then, it was analyzed with qualitative analysis method. Inductivedeductive was done to get the conclusion in order to be generalized. Based on the research conducted, it is known that the implementation of the decision of Aceh Tradition Institution in solving the dispute, especially in the community of Gampong level has been effective and it is still relevant and be used by those parties. Those parties. Those parties who are involved in the dispute consider that the decision taken is appropriate with the tradition consideration and without neglecting the principles and teaching of Islamics which are constantly as the priority in Aceh. Based on the descripton, it is suggested for those people of Aceh to respect the tradition in all aspects of life, including in solving the dispute for maintaining peaceful and harmonious life in Aceh. |
