| Abstract | The current increase of constraints imposed by the legislation and the implementation of the sewer network self-monitoring give raise new needs, particularly concerning the characterization of sewer systems behaviour. The simulation associated to in situ measurement provides good results in this way. Then, the idea of adapting these results of modelling to help the network administrator/operator leads to build tools which could be used by operators on site in order to help them in their day-to-day decisions. This paper shows how an operational tool was developed based on an efficient model of Saint Malo’s sewer network and focus on the operational implementation of first mode which computes self-monitoring balance sheets according to the French legal requirement on monitoring combined sewer overflows.
