Abstract	The city of Barcelona has been under a rapid growth of international migration flows bringing into the City foreign resident groups. This arriving population is spreading around the urban red in a very irregular way in terms of its space distribution within the city. One may observe, moreover, that the residential space has a close relationship with the social/cultural integration of the migrants to the City. Since there is no up-to-date information for Barcelona on those matters we propose here an ecological study that would allows us to establish a population tipology at the micro-area level linking neighborhoods, housing and foreign population. Such study is relevant in terms of setting future hypotheses that can be investigated/compared to the 2001 Census.
