Abstract	It was made an assessment of musculoskeletal disorders present in 94 municipal dental professionals Girardot Aragua state, using a cross sectional study. Were administered the Standardized Nordic Questionnaire to evaluate: socio-demographics, labor activity and musculoskeletal symptoms in eight areas, evaluating 3-dimensional (motor restriction, pain frequency and location thereof) during the last six (6) months. The prevalence of musculoskeletal discomfort among dentists was 100%, with a mild (62.8%), which however, has come to produce inability to 1-7 days at 20.3% of dentists in the last three months of work. 78.7% of the respondents take less than one month with musculoskeletal discomfort and a person had to change jobs. For 38.3% of participants episodes of pain, less than one hour are presented, treated 66% of professionals. The variables: age 20-29 years age range 30-39 years labor Age> 5 years and Age <5 years, were associated with musculoskeletal disorders (p <0.05). It should be noted that the etiology of musculoskeletal problems of dentists is multifactorial, thus to its prevention by the measures go through a form of work to try to space the repetitive movements and static positions held, alternating position, planning various procedures in the normal working day, using ergonomic equipment and establishing frequent breaks.
