| Abstract | Hydrogen is considered as the potential energy vector of the future. By Solar hydrogen, it is meant that hydrogen is produced using renewable energies particularly solar energy. The existence of an important underground water in combination with the highest insolation in the world make Algeria a place of choice for the production of solar hydrogen. This production will offer Algeria not only a clean energy but also will permit to increase and to diversify its energy resources. In the present work, is considered the solar hydrogen production by water electrolysis with the water dissociation energy furnished by a PV system. The mean production per square meter of PV panel and by day is estimated. The seasonal and geographical variations are studied. The production potential comes out to be very important particularly in the South. |
