Abstract	This article provides an update on the evaluation and management of dizziness in older people. It is based on a recent literature review. Indeed, it is a frequent reason to consult a general practitioner. Its clinical presentation is not very specific and its treatment is often challenging. Although dizziness is often benign it can have serious physical, functional and psychological consequences. Thanks to a careful medical history and simple clinical examination tools, general practitioners can make a correct diagnosis and provide early multidisciplinary care that can greatly improve the quality of life of elderly people who suffer from dizziness.
