| Abstract | This research study, it is a quantitative approach, pre experimental, pre-test and post-test design, was held in the Educational: Nuestra Senora de las Mercedes, during the months of july and august 2017, in order to determine the effectiveness of the educational program “strengthening my knowledge about my sexuality” at the level of knowledge about sexuality in the adolescent. The sample universe was constituted by 45 adolescents who met the inclusion criteria. For data collection instrument was used: Questionnaire for evaluation of the level of knowledge about adolescent sexuality, with the information obtained, processed and analyzed using the statistical test of "t student" for related samples and the results are presented in graphs and table double entry. Before the implementation of the educational program, 2.2 percent of teenagers got a high level of knowledge about sexuality, 55.6 percent got a regular level and 42.2 percent got a low level. After the implementation of the educational program, 28.9 percent presented a high level of knowledge, 55.6 percent a regular level and 15.6 percent of adolescents got a low level of knowledge about sexuality. The educational program was effective in improving the level of knowledge about sexuality among adolescents. |
