| Abstract | The mediation as a resolution conflicts strategy has been extended in Spain in the last fifteen years in very different areas of the society, from the judicial, the labor, or the relationships. They have become strategies to address, in a different way, conflicts between people in order to achieve non violent and less traumatic resolution processes, to achieve part of the goals and keep the relationships. One of those areas is the education and school where the mediation projects have been incorporated. First from the educational practice and the innovation generated by the teachers in their schools, and then from the educational legislation of some Autonomous Communities. The model presented here was created in 2001 in the Secondary School “Ramiro II” in the town of Leon, La Robla. Its origin comes from the need to restore the severely damaged climate of coexistence by a conflict that involved all sectors of the educational community: students, families, and teachers. We begin explaining the overall improvement model of coexistence from which the School Mediation is introduced into the center, then to approach the structure functioning of the Mediation Team and how the entire mediation process is done. We finish with some data on the causes of the mind conflicts. http://dx.doi.org/ 10.15304/ie.24.1928 |
