In the present thesis there were analyzed digital images of dental pieces using technologies of segmentation of images. The digital processing of images has certain technologies that the quality of the images allows to improve or to facilitate the bosses' identification that they find present in the same ones. A classifier of images has been elaborated using the scientific investigation that allows us to obtain results by means of the use of the tool Matlab to submit the images applying the different technologies of segmentation used during the investigation like them they are: Transformed of watershed, transformed of k-means, transformed of sobel, transformed of canny and the transformed one of Top Hat and later to realize the analysis of the obtained results. A meta-análisis was realized this way to obtain information of the technologies of segmentation, to elaborate a line of time that reflects the use of these technologies across the years and the methodologies that are applied to the same ones. For the investigation one acceded to different scientific databases and web sites like it they are: Redalyc, IEEE, ScienceDirect, Elseiver, and Scielo For the search of articles or information relating to the digital processing of images and of the use of the technologies of segmentation used in the investigation.
