| Abstract | This investigation exposes the main results associated to the investigative process on the political potential of Happiness: Understanding of Happiness as a Political Potential in the Memorial Museum of the Morjuez Youth Group of Comuna 4, Aranjuez de Medellin, that was developed over the years 2017 and 2018. Their objectives were: 1) to describe the experience of the Museum of Cheerful Memory, 2) to identify the characteristic factors of joy as emotion, and 3) to interpret the sense of politics for the museum experience of joyful memory. The methodology was developed from to a qualitative hermeneutical approach through in-depth interviews, focus groups and a discussion forum. Among the most outstanding results are the contextual elements that give rise to the Museum of Joyful Memory as a political act of the youth of the Morjuez Youth Group that discove its birth character to inhabit the world in a different way from its commitment to the awareness of emotions and the vindication of memory from happy memories. It was possible to recognize joy as an affection that enhances the ability to act and that takes strength in coexistence by propitiating relationships with others, and what that implies with respect to the link with the world; antagonists of joy were determined that limit their potential for action; and, finally, the politics elements associated with joy were unveiled from the museum experience as an aesthetic experience that gives meaning to life from the potential of the emotions. |
