| Abstract | To determine optimal technical levels (tol) and economic optimum (eol) of the concentrate and forage production of milk, a polynomial econometric model was constructed. The information came from a dairy farm, located in Temascaltepec, State of Mexico, during August-September 2013, divided into five periods of 15 days each. The ranch ordered 65 Brown Swiss cows, only 10 were used (lw 628 ± 72 kilograms) with different number of births and lactation period. For the concentrate and forage production of milk, the tol and eol were 104.4 and 148.4; 78.5 and 109 kg; the farmer used 97.2 and 169 kg of these inputs, with a gain of $ 792.9. The noe is a technical and economic recommendation that farmers must take to maximize their monetary gain. |
