Abstract	The measure of preventive detention in military criminal matters must obey criteria of proportionality, necessity, reasonableness, going to test weight, because in addressing the issue of deprivation of liberty military criminal judge must conduct its analysis in a legal dimension, according to the provisions of Article 466 of Law 1407 of 2010 Military Penal Code and police, in order to identify whether to impose the measure is suitable, adequate or less damaging to the rights of the member of the security forces which it is being investigated.
