This has allowed to the implementation and development of agro-industrial companies in our country, where the cacao is processed (Theobroma cacao L.) until obtaining half-finished and other products with chocolate. As all we know, these processes generate great wastes, being one of them, the cacao husk, that contains nutrients and elements that have been taken advantage of in other countries, like a nutritional alternative for smaller animals, among them the guinea pig (Cavia porcellus L.). The objective of this study is to evaluate the use of the husk of cacao like power source of nontraditional origin in the elaboration of balancing for the Andean phase of growth and finishing in cuyes.
