Abstract	espanolEn este trabajo se presentan tres ejemplo de aplicacion de los SIG y teledeteccion para el estudio de las inundaciones en el sudeste de la provincia de Cordoba (Argentina). En esta region las inundaciones constituyen el riesgo natural que mas afecta al desarrollo sostenido de la region. La conjuncion de factores naturales y antropicos desencadenan recurrentes eventos de inundacion, produciendo perdidas millonarias en una region que depende exclusivamente de la produccion agropecuaria. El estudio de este fenomeno mediante las tecnologias de la informacion geografica (teledeteccion y SIG) han proporcionado bases de datos y herramientas de analisis que facilitan la planificacion y gestion del riesgo. EnglishIn this work we present three experiences in the application of GIS and remote sensing to the study of flood in the southeast of Cordoba Province, Argentina. In this region floods are the main natural risk affecting the possibilities for sustainable development. Natural and anthropic factors generates recurrent flood situations, with strong monetary losses in a region whose economy depends on cattle and agriculture. The application of geographic information technologies (GIS and remote sensing) to the study of this phenomenom provides decision makers with accurate planning and risk management tools.
