“Del puente a las huertas comunitarias”: transformaciones socio productivas en las huertas comunitarias de los centros de salud de Gualeguaychú a cinco años del conflicto

| Abstract | The installation of pulp mill in Fray Bentos in November 2007, triggered in Gualeguaychú, Entre Rios, one of the most important environmental, social conflicts in Latin America. Five years after the conflict, the impact of social protest on the activity in ten community gardens operating in municipal health centers is analyzed. The hypothesis is that different level of impact is achieved according to type (vertical, horizontal or networks) achieved in relations to the health centers. The goal is whether the mobilization social product of the conflict by the installation of the pulp mill in neighboring Uruguay bank, managed to influence public policies to meet the new environmental problems (habitat, etc) in addition to the traditional problems of malnutrition and poverty housing, five years of the event. The methodology consisted of 21 semi-structured interviews, interviews in a data matrix were met and discussed similarities and differences in the stories by ACP (principal components analysis). Among the Note worthy results that were better when interdisciplinary health teams and technical assistance (doctors, psychologists, nutritionists, agronomists and Ing. Ts social) is articulated with local management system (networks of neighborhood organizations). |
