| Abstract | Abstract: Scientific production indicators are valorized as a way to measure and evaluate part of the scientific development in a given area of expertise. This paper shows the research profile of Information Science Departments from institutions of higher education in Sao Paulo State, considering variables such as production, productivity and scientific collaboration between the years 2000 and 2009. It has been found that UNESP holds more inter-department and inter-institution collaboration, in addition to greater production; and that USP holds more productivity, in spite of fewer collaborations, being further evidenced the influence cast upon these indicators by Postgraduate programs. |
