Abstract	Resumen El presente artculo es una revision critca de la historia de las politcas publicas, partcularmente las educatvas,que tenen que ver con las culturas indigenasde Mexico, desde inicios del siglo XX hasta la actualidad. Dichas politcas han evolucionado desde la homogeneizacion, que buscaba la desaparicion de las culturas de los indigenas para que estos se asimilarancon una identdad cultural mexicana uniforme, pasando por la incorporacionque tenia como objetvo la convivencia de las diversas culturas nacionales, hasta la interculturalidad que reconoce el valor de la diversidad cultural y busca impulsar su desarrollo y el dialogo en relaciones de igualdad. Abstract This artcle is a critcal review of the history of the public policies regarding the Mexican indigenous cultures, from the beginning of the 20th Century to the present days, with a partcular consideraton of the educatonal policies. These cultural policies evolved from homogenizaton, a cultural policy aimed at the fading of indigenous cultures into a homogenous Mexican cultural identty, to incorporaton that envisaged the coexistence of the various natonal cultures, and fnally to the intercultural contemporary policies. Interculturalism departure point is the appreciaton of the value of the cultural diversity, which intends to promote trough the intercultural dialogue among equals. Keywords: Indigenous populatons.
