NDLI: Event-by-Event Physics at the CERN SPS

Abstract	I review recent progress in event-by-event physics analysis of data from CERN SPS heavy-ion experiments. Event-by-event analysis attempts to discover and interpret certain dynamical uctuations in multiparticle spectra. Such uctuations may signal the onset of QCD color deconnnement and chiral symmetry restoration: the establishment of a quark-gluon plasma.
