Abstract	Este documento presenta una resena historica de la Red Interinstitucional para la Ninez de Costa Rica (RIN), organizacion constituida por diferentes instancias gubernamentales y no gubernamentales involucradas con la ninez del pais, la cual s coordinada por el Instituto de Investigacion en Educacion (INIE) de la Universidad de Costa Rica y esta adscrita como proyecto al Programa Interdisciplinario de Estudios y Accion Social de los Derechos de la Ninez y la Adolescencia (PRIDENA). Se describen algunas generalidades de la red, contemplando tanto aspectos historicos como sus objetivos; ademas se detallan las principales actividades desarrolladas desde su creacion en el 2003 hasta el 2009 y se plantean algunas de sus proyecciones. This document presents a historical overview of the Interagency Network for Children in Costa Rica (Red Interinstitucional para la Ninez de Costa Rica, RIN), constituted by different governmental and non-governmental organizations involved with children in the country, which is coordinated by the Institute for Research in Education (INIE) of the University of Costa Rica. The Rin is assigned as a project to the Program of Interdisciplinary Studies and Social Action for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (PRIDENA). General aspects of the network are described, including both historical aspects and its objectives. Besides, it details the major activities since its creation in 2003 until 2009 and states some of its projections.
