Abstract	The efficiency of RESEXs, as an alternative for the environmental conservation and the demands partner's economical of the traditional populations attendance, implicates in that these are ecological, economical and partner-institucionalmente viable. Before this this work aims at to characterize the productive activities accomplished in RESEX Rio Iriri in Altamira - PA. The research was accomplished in 2009, they were applied questionnaires semi-structured with nine families. The main productive activities accomplished by the riverine ones they are the fishing, it rubs and it collects of chestnut. The fishing is an important strategy of generation of income and of subsistence for the families, however it is noticed a decline in the population of species of fish that has been making unfeasible that activity as commercial. The agriculture is accomplished in the open country form, where the principal product is the cassava used for the flour production. The collection of the chestnut is important, because this product exists abundantly and it guarantees a significant income. The institutions that act close to in RESEX the administration advice need to guarantee the autonomy of the local populations.
