| Abstract | The aim of this study is to present an proposal intervention for informal caregivers of patients with dementia. The design of the intervention is based on the Resilience approach, obtaining information through a semi-structured interview with family members to discover what personal, relational and community protective factors they present. The results show that people who exercise care have strategies, such as humor against adversity (personal factor), not isolate from the environment (relational factor) and change the perception of the elderly to be seen with value and not as a burden (community factor). The last objective, therefore, is to create a new look at the strengths of people and not focus on their deficits. |
