| Abstract | This research focuses on the contituent process in Bolivia and the construction of proposals on the part of women, constituent women as well as of social organizations and institutions of civil society. They voice the search for a better quality life for women by means of the incorporation of women´s basic rights to achieve an egalitarian political participation, sexual and reproductive health which protects women, a non sexist education and other measures that would help women to fully become part of the State. The new State Political Constitution, approved after the referendum of January 25th. 2009 includes an important quantity of articles in favour of gender equity and equal opportunities for women. |
