Abstract	O presente artigo tem como objetivo discutir o processo de reestruturacao do espaco brasileiro a partir da atividade industrial, pensada como instrumento de desenvolvimento e de integracao nacional. O trabalho destaca em particular a regiao amazonica, que a partir de 1950, passou a ser cenario de diversas transformacoes com a difusao de grandes empreendimentos industriais. O texto tem como recorte o municipio de Acailândia, que e palco de empreendimentos siderurgicos desde a o inicio da decada de 1980, e aborda em especifico os impactos socioespaciais que essa industria tem provocado em Acailândia. MAJOR PROJECTS AND ECONOMIC RESTRUCTURING OF URBAN SPACE-EASTERN REGIONAL AMAZON: AN ANALYSIS FROM THE STEEL BUSINESS IN THE CITY OF ACAILÂNDIA Abstract This article aims to discuss the restructuring of the Brazilian space from industrial activity, thought of as a tool for development and national integration. The work highlights in particular the Amazon region in 1950 increased to several transformations with the diffusion of large industrial enterprises scenario. The text is to cut the municipality that hosts Acailândia steel enterprises since the early 1980s, and addresses in particular the sociospatial impacts that the industry has resulted in Acailândia.
