| Abstract | The Chontalpa Project was established in the southeastern part of Mexico in the 70's, the destruction of tropical rain forest and swamps devastation was a consequence of this project. There are still some remains that form part of this rain forest and one of these is known as "the Chontalpa Ecological Reserve" dominated by Bravaisia integerrima where this research was conducted. The goal of this work was to determine the diversity and the composition of tropical rain forest's species, located in Cardenas municipality in the state of Tabasco.
