| Abstract | Masalah kesehatan yang berhubungan dengan gizi seperti kegagalan pertumbuhan, berat badan lahir rendah, pendek, kekurangan gizi dan kelebihan gizi masih menjadi persoalan yang perlu ditangani dengan serius. Pemberian ASI eksklusif merupakan faktor penting dalam pemenuhan status gizi anak. Pemberian ASI eksklusif di Sulawesi Utara hanya 40,2%, di daerah Kabupaten Minahasa Utara hanya 39,6%, dan khususnya di wilayah pesisir Desa Kalinaun hanya 40,0%. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan status gizi baduta di Desa Kalinaun Kecamatan Likupang Timur Kabupaten Minahasa Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional study. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara total sampling dan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 43 baduta usia 6-<24 bulan. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan pengukuran antropometri. Hasil analisis secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji Fisher’ Exact Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan, balita yang mendapatkan ASI eksklusif sebanyak 13 balita dengan persentase 30,2% dan berdasarkan indeks BB/U diperoleh nilai p=0,049 sehingga nilai p lebih kecil dari nilai α (0,05), PB/U diperoleh nilai p=0,009 sehingga nilai p lebih kecil dari nilai α (0,05) dan BB/PB diperoleh nilai p=0,542 sehingga nilai p lebih besar dari nilai α (0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan antara pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan status gizi baduta berdasarkan indeks BB/U dan PB/U. Tidak terdapat hubungan antara pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan status gizi balita berdasarkan indeks BB/PB di Desa Kalinaun Kecamatan Likupang Timur Kabupaten Minahasa Utara. Exclusive breastfeeding is important factors for adequacy child nutritional status. Exclusive breastfeeding in North Sulawesi is only 40,2%, in the North Minahasa District is only 39,6%, and in coastal areas especially Kalinaun Village is only 40,0%. The purpose of this research is to know the correlation between exclusive breastfeeding with nutritional status of children undertwo years in Kalinaun Village of East Likupang North Minahasa Regency. This research uses an Observational analitic with cross sectional study. Sampling in this research taken by total sampling and the number of sample in this research as much 43 children who are ages 6-<24 months. Data were collected with interview by using questionnaire and antropometric measurement. Univariate and bivariate analysis result using fisher’ exact test. The result shows that children undertwo years who got exclusive breastfeeding as much 13 children with percentage 30,2% and based on index BB/U obtained p value=0,049 so the p value less than α value (0,05), PB/U obtained p value=0,009 so the p value less than α value (0,05) and BB/PB obtained p value=0,542 so the p value more than α value (0,05). The conclusion of this research is there is a associated between exclusive breastfeeding with nutritional status of children undertow years based on index BB/U and PB/U. There is no associated between exclusive breastfeeding with nutritional status of children undertwo years based on index BB/PB in Kalinaun Village of East Likupang North Minahasa Regency.
