| Abstract | Los anos 90 fueron particularmente prolificos, no solo en materia cinematografica, sino tambien en los aspectos tecnologicos, de tal manera que modificaron sustancialmente las formas de distribucion y de consumo de las peliculas. Abordaremos esta decada tomando tres ejes tematicos: la construccion de la realidad; la conspiracion y creacion del miedo; las cuestiones de genero y las convenciones sociales. Sin perder de vista el contexto historico-social en el que la violencia se impone como constante. 1990s AMERICAN CINEMA: NEW PARADIGMS Abstract The 90s were particularly prolific, not only in cinematographic matters, but also in the technological aspects, in such a way that they substantially modified the distribution and consumption forms of the films. We will approach this decade taking three thematic axes: the construction of reality; the conspiracy and creation of fear; genres issues and social conventions.
