| Abstract | The present work is a qualitative case study that seeks to establish the compatibilities between Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity Management (BCM), leading to the formulation of strategies that support an effective alignment between both approaches. As a result of the research, we found the importance of including resilience as a third management system. The alignment between ERM, BCM and organizational resilience is not only possible, but necessary to achieve business objectives, prepare and protect the organization against disruptive events that threaten its continuity and optimize economic and social value in any type of industry. These conclusions are developed based on the case study of the Hydroelectric Power Plant of Caldas. |
