| Abstract | Este estudo tem como objetivo verificar o ranking de responsabilidade social das empresas listadas no Indice de Sustentabilidade Empresarial – ISE. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva, documental e quantitativa. A amostra correspondeu a 23 empresas listadas no Indice de Sustentabilidade Empresarial – ISE que possuiam todas as informacoes disponiveis para a realizacao do estudo, no periodo de 2008 a 2012. Utilizou-se do Metodo Topsis para a formacao do ranking de responsabilidade social das empresas e a Analise Discriminante, para verificar as variaveis sociais que tiveram impacto na alteracao das posicoes das empresas no ranking. De acordo com o ranking formado, verificou-se que as empresas Oi, Weg e Cemig ocuparam a primeira, segunda e terceira posicao. Os resultados demonstraram que os beneficios sociais concedidos ao publico interno contribuiram para a elevacao da posicao das empresas no ranking, devido ao grande investimento em beneficios ao publico interno. Desta forma, conclui-se que os investimentos que as empresas fazem ao publico interno da empresa sao os principais influenciadores de sua responsabilidade social corporativa. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the ranking of social responsibility of the companies listed on the Corporate Sustainability Index - ISE. This is a descriptive, document and quantitative research. The sample consisted of 23 companies listed on the Corporate Sustainability Index - ISE that had all the information available for the study, in the period 2008-2012 was used Topsis the method for forming the rank of corporate social responsibility and. Discriminant Analysis, to verify the social variables that have an impact on the change in the positions of the companies in the rankings. Formed according to the ranking, it was found that Hi, and Cemig Weg companies occupied first, second and third position. The results showed that the social benefits to the domestic public contributed to the elevation of the position of enterprises in the rankings due to the large investment in benefits to the domestic audience.
