| Abstract | esture and speech. History of therapeutic research on learning the association of words and gestures. Another rticle1 previously reported on similar research from a normal presentation perspective: definition of the task, presentation f an experimental protocol, data collection, statistical analysis, interpretation and discussion. The text that is proposed here escribes what is fortuitous and human in the scientific research process, it highlights the relationships between individuals, bstacles that are encountered along the way, the groping for thoughts, false starts and the unexpected. This is the concrete ath of research when it confronts the reality on the ground – which is the case here at the Medical Educational Institute or Adolescents with associated mental disability disorders.
