| Abstract | A generalized exact optical bright solitary wave solution in a three dimensional dispersive linear medium is presented. The most interesting property of the sSlution is that it can exist in the normal group-velocitydispersion (GVD) region. In addition, another peculiar feature is that it may achieve a condition of "zero-dispersion" to the media so that a solitary wave of arbitrarily small amplitude may be propagated with no dependence on its pulse width. |
