| Abstract | This study aim at verifing subjacent factors between subjective well-being and children’s satisfaction with their interpersonal relationships with family, friends and at school environment. Participated 2.280 children with ages between 9 and 12 years old (M=10,99; DP=0,996), being 1.341 from the capital, 55,5% of the sample were girls. Were apllied the Student Life Satisfaction Scale (SLSS), Personal Wellbeing Index School-Children (PWI-SC), and 19 items about children’s relationships with their families, friends and at school. Descriptive analyzes and internal consistency analysis, principal component analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed.The results point that the items of interpersonal relationships grouped in three components related to the family, school and friends. Family relationships and relationships at school were the relations that most contributed to subjective well-being. There is an association between the satisfaction with family relationships, friendships and relations at school and the subjective well-being. These relations can be consider predictors of subjective well-being with explained variance of 30% and 40% at SLSS and PWI scales respectively. |
